Conflict Prompt.
It was a large valley, surrounding by trees and covered in lush green grasses. In its center was a large lake covering most of the area. Small animals once frolicked here, in times of peace and joy. Those times were gone now.
On each side of the valley was an army. The Chaos Legion on one side, and its sworn enemy, The Knights of Order on the other.
The armies marched upon eachother, each with a general behind them, urging them forward, urging them into bloodlust.
General Chaos was a very large man. He was nearly seven feet tall. He wore all black, and wore the mask of the jester. From the holes in the mask you could see his eyes, they were a deep red, with the emotions of regret and anger speckling them.
General Order was his opposite. He was a frail man, about 5 feet tall, he wore gray robes and no mask. He had a beard that reached down to his belt, and had a balding head. His eyes were a radiant blue, that glowed of wisdom and sorrow.
"Conquer them! They are weak!" screamed General Chaos.
The Chaos Troops began to chant a prophecy: " ... even The water shall burn the day that chaos once again takes its place as ruler of nature."
"Slaughter them all, they are inferior to us" shouted General Order.
The Order Troops began to mutter a different prophecy: "...and the rain of fire shall fall from the sky the day that the Legions of chaos fall, and order is once again the ruler of nature"
The soldiers stared eachother down angrily, everyone prepared for what was sure to come, a battle of a lifetime.
An arrow was shot. It arched across the sky, and began its descent into the opposing army. Both armies watched it as it fell to the masses. It hit a man in the head, cutting through his skull and killing him.
both sides were silent for a moment, shrugged, and then charged, blades and armor glinting in the sunlight.
The two armies collided, and war broke.
The battle waged on ferociously, both sides tearing at its enemies. Neither side showed any signs of giving up.
The blades swung, each one piercing its opponent, the arrows flew through the air, everyone hitting its mark.
The battle waged on and on, all day, through the scorching heat and blazing sun. Thousands died.
It reached Nightfall, the armies brought out their war machines, they filled them with burning pitch and flung it at the other forces.
All was ablaze, the trees, the ground, and even the water.
The armies were destroyed, no one lived.
The Generals stood utop the sides of the valley, each content with what they watched.
Order looked to the cosmos, they were falling, it was a meteor shower.
Chaos looked to the waters, they blazed with crimson flames.
They walked towards the center of the valley, each on different sides.
They met in the center.
Then, shook hands.
"Well Chaos, it seems our agreement worked perfectly."
"That it did Order, that it did"
" Humankind is gone at last"
"The World of the Gods is ours once again"
"Free from them at last, finally!"
